Have a pretty good oil leak from the rear head top cover from the left side of the motor. How hard is it to fix. From everything I have found there is no gasket just engine sealant and 2 O Rings. Is it possible to lift the cover without having to drop the motor???

Are the bolts holding the leaking area together tight?

I replaced the O-rings, leaking because rubber had lost the elasticity.
OEM was on the X for many years.
New o-rings worked well. It could be the Ace hardware o-rings, mine are leaking again.

Oil leakage found coming from Exhaust valve adjustment port cap. O-ring is flat.
Oil drained down to kick stand side of cylinders for the most part, but some oil ran straight down and dripped onto the lower fins..
The o-rings were from ACE replaced in May 2015 at 162K miles. Maybe under-sized...
I went to Honda Dealer, no "91303-KK3-830" in stock. Counter kid said would have to lookup the 12mm aluminum drain plug washers. BYE!
NAPA had the alum washers, HF had a box of o-rings. I put on one 35mm o-ring, a little fat. Honda is 35x3 HF is 35x3.5
Will see how this fat mama works! The other 0-ring replaced.

First exhaust port rubber O-rings May 2015 ACE hardware.
2nd exhaust port O-ring changed in March 2020 HF is 35x3.5mm
Honda O-ring 35x3 mm
