I just bought a 05 1300 R. The engine seems to be a little too noisy. Not exhaust loud, but like disturbing grind / click / scrape noise? It's under load, or when you give it some gas. I've tried bushings under the speedo, rubber trip around the speedo housing, rubber bushings behind the horn.
One day I dropped it at a stop sign and it got a new "pooping" noise. Brought it to a mechanic. He found the exhaust pipe was loose (from the drop) and fixed it.
It's back to the other noises I've heard all along. Mechanic says its fine and runs great!
I guess I have to just stop being so "O-C-D?"
